It’s not always easy to assimilate for immigrants who come to the United States. A new language, culture and environment can be difficult to accept or even understand. Hadi Shavarini came to America after the revolution in Iran in 1979. When his young daughter found out about Christmas, she wanted a traditional celebration. But it wasn’t what Shavarini had grown up with. So, he came up with a Christmas tradition with a Persian touch. He told his story to Stories From The Stage produced by our partners at World TV.
