Media dispatches describe Kyiv as a scene of panic, as some residents prepare for war. But Ukrainian writer Andrei Kurkov says the depictions are overblown and his friends and relatives aren’t lining up to buy matches and bread. Kurkov tells The World’s Marco Werman how Ukrainians are dealing with the psychological trauma of rising tensions with Russia.
