Elephants are sacred in Sri Lanka. And killing an elephant is punishable by death. It’s part of a long effort to better protect Sri Lanka’s elephants. Ravi Corea, head of the Sri Lankan Wildlife Conservation Society, has worked hard to improve conditions for elephants.
