Online ad technology is extremely sophisticated, harnessing vast pools of anonymous data. But that ad data is raw intelligence that can still be used to zero in on certain people. Spyware makers have discovered they can use ads to sneak hacking tools onto people’s phones. The World’s host Carol Hills talks with Omer Benjakob, a reporter for Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz.
