Dotted across the former coal-mining towns of the Welsh valleys, in the west of the UK, are dozens of derelict chapels. They’re reminders of a time when large numbers of the local population were regular worshippers. Now a retired minister has bought some of the ruins, intending to reopen them as places of worship. The BBC’s Rory Carson reports.
