Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund recently announced a new redevelopment project in Riyaad called, Al Murab’a or “The Square.” At its center will be a giant cube called al-Muka’ab or “The Cubed.” It’s drawn a lot of controversy online as social media users note that Saudi Arabia is already home to the Kaaba, the world’s most famous cube structure.
