Russian men are fleeing to Kazakhstan to escape draft

In a rented house on the outskirts of Almaty, Kazakhstan, men who have fled Russia to avoid the draft are trying to make new lives. The shelter is part of a network of safe houses set up by an organization with ties to Russia’s political opposition, and focuses its efforts on activists in exile. But, as The World’s Durrie Bouscaren reports from Almaty, the men are finding much less help than expected from Western nations.
