Russia to send troops to Nicaragua

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Russia’s military, and questions surrounding its power and its capabilities, has been a contentious issue. But the focus has been on Ukraine. However Russia’s military is also located in some far-flung places including in Latin America. Just last week, the government of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega authorized Russia’s military to deploy to Nicaragua.
