Russia threatens to cut off major gas pipeline unless European sanctions are lifted

A worrying sign for Europeans already thinking about winter: Russia’s Nord Stream gas pipeline to Europe was supposed to resume flowing over the weekend, but it’s still turned off. And the Kremlin is saying they won’t open up the pipeline to Europe until the West lifts sanctions against Russia. The World’s Marco Werman discusses the potential cutoff with Sam Greene, who is director of Democratic Resilience at the Center for European Policy Analysis.
