There were some signs of progress in peace talks between Ukraine and Russia on Tuesday in Istanbul. Ukrainian officials proposed discussing the status of Ukrainian territory now held by Russian forces. And Russia’s defense minister, Alexander Fomin, said Russia would “drastically reduce” military activity near Kyiv “to increase mutual trust.” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken quickly expressed skepticism about that saying “There is what Russia says and there’s what Russia does.” Host Marco Werman speaks with Yevheniia Kravchuk, a member of Ukraine’s parliament who is currently in Washington.
