RUSADA, WADA and ISU appeal Valieva ruling to sport’s highest court

Kamila Valieva made headlines at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing for previously testing positive for a banned drug. The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has been investigating the positive test ever since, and in January of this year, they ruled that the Russian skater bore “no fault or negligence” for the positive test. Now, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the International Skating Union and RUSADA themselves are appealing that ruling. The World’s Bianca Hillier reports.
