Khalida Popal was at the top of her game in Afghanistan, playing soccer until the game nearly cost her her life. The Taliban had threatened Popal if she continued playing, so she escaped and ended up in Denmark. Today, Popal is coaching a team of Mexican girls who will play in the upcoming Street Children’s Soccer World Cup in Russia.
