Right whales in the wrong place

In recent years, a number of endangered North Atlantic right whales have been found entangled in fishing gear in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Canada. That’s because they’re straying further to find feeding grounds, but protections aren’t yet in place for them in those areas. This matters because there are only about 350 right whales left on the planet. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Amy Knowlton, a senior scientist with the New England Aquarium and a specialist on the North Atlantic right whale.
