Putin and Erdoğan meet to discuss the future of northeast Syria

Turkey’s President Erdoğan met with Vladimir Putin of Russia in the Russian city of Sochi on Tuesday. Their conversation is likely to determine the future of the Turkish military incursion into its neighbor, Syria. Turkey claims to be fighting terrorists, but their main opponents, the Kurds, accuse the Turks of planning ethnic cleansing.
