In many parts of the US and the world, schools remain closed and students are doing their classes online. Not so in Greece. Last month, the Greek government opened up all primary and secondary schools in the country, despite an uptick in COVID-19 cases. Now, students, parents, and teachers at hundreds of schools nationwide are protesting what they say are unsafe conditions in the classroom. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports from Athens.
