Protesting for permanent residency

The World

Immigrants with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and their supporters protested in Washington today demanding a path to permanent residency. They’re protesting the Trump administration’s moves to end TPS and feel that the years they’ve spent in the US have earned them a right to stay. Host Marco Werman speaks to Jose Palma from El Salvador. He’s been in the United States since 1998 and was granted TPS in 2001 after the earthquake that devastated his home country.
