President of Niger ousted in military coup

Details are still unclear, but it appears that President Mohamed Bazoum of Niger was ejected by a group of military officers, who claim an intervention in the government was needed. The World’s host Marco Werman talks with Alex Thurston, at the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Cincinnati, who has done field research all across West Africa. Thurston discusses what happened, and what it means for Niger and the Sahel region.
