The Polish government has steadily been demolishing dozens of Soviet-era monuments, ever since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. But, as Rebecca Rosman reports from Warsaw, many Polish citizens are attached to the memorials, and believe that preserving their country’s complicated history is important.
