Pockets of life return to Turkish cities devastated by earthquakes

Six months ago, earthquakes destroyed much of historic Antakya [ahn-TAH-kee-YAH] — an ancient city where several religions have long coexisted in southern Turkey. The city’s old covered bazaar suffered severe damage in the quakes, but many shops have reopened amid the rubble. Shopkeepers and customers alike say they’ve returned for a sense of normalcy, and to help their city rebuild. The World’s Durrie Bouscaren takes us inside.
