Pakistan responds to Iran strikes with strikes of its own

Early this morning, Pakistan’s military carried out attacks inside of Iran targetting militants. It follows Iran’s strikes on militants in Pakistan. Both attacks occurred in Balochistan which is an ethnic region shared by the two countries. Host Carolyn Beeler spoke with Michael Kugelman, director of the South Asia Institute at the Wilson Center, to understand the motives behind Iran’s attack and why Pakistan felt it necessary to respond.
