Painting misattributed for centuries

A painting of David and Goliath, long attributed to a male Baroque painter, recently fell into the hands of London-based conservator Simon Gillespie. While he was cleaning the painting, he discovered something incredible: It was actually the work of Artemisia Gentileschi, the most highly celebrated woman artist of the 17th century.
