Operation to avert Yemen’s oil tanker disaster begins

The FSO Safer is an oil tanker in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen that has fallen into dangerous disrepair. The huge quantity of oil aboard could leak, or it could explode. The UN has organized a mission to prevent a nightmare scenario by siphoning the oil out and onto a new ship. The World’s Marco Werman talks to David Gressly, the UN Resident Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen who has spearheaded the complicated effort to do something about the menace of the FSO Safer.
