A monthslong drought in parts of Kenya is endangering the livelihoods of millions of people who rely on livestock. Humanitarian organizations are warning countless people could be at risk of hunger if the rains don’t come soon. While drought is not new to Kenya, scientists say it is becoming more frequent due to climate change. This comes as Kenya, like many African countries, is requesting more climate finance to help communities adapt to their changing environments at the COP26 conference in Glasgow.
