Greek lawmakers voted to ban political parties whose leaders have been convicted of crimes in an effort to curb the political influence of violent far-right and fascist groups in the country. The country’s center-right Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the law would not “ban ideas.” Instead it would protect “the democratic constitutional order.” The World’s Carol Hills speaks with Spyros Tsoutsoumpis who researches far-right groups in Greece. He’s a lecturer in modern European history at the University of Manchester.
