Muslim American candidates across the country are celebrating wins earlier this week in races for city councils, school boards, and state senates — a few in traditionally Republican areas.  But as The World’s Rupa Shenoy reports, the candidates often pay a price: dealing with hate-filled Islamophobic messages.
