Morocco shuts down public bath houses three days a week following drought

Morocco’s drought is forcing the government there to take action. And now, it’s impacting the country’s cultural heritage in the hammam, or public bathhouse. The government has ordered hammams to shut down for three days a week in order to save water. Host Carolyn Beeler speaks with Mohammed El Hamzaoui, an Arabic language lecturer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, about his experiences with hammams in Morocco.
