More states permit undocumented people to get driver’s licenses, but the process isn’t easy

Imagine trying to open a bank account, rent an apartment or get a cellphone plan without official identification. Undocumented immigrants have an especially hard time. So, 19 states have now allowed them to obtain driver’s licenses. The latest is Massachusetts. New England Public Media reporter Nirvani Williams found that there are still many hurdles to get that I.D.
