More protests in Chemnitz, Germany

The World

In Germany, the city of Chemnitz has been in the news because of anti-immigrant demonstrations there in recent days supported by far-right extremists. They were sparked by a fatal stabbing, followed by the arrest of two men originally from Syria and Iraq. And now, there was a counter-response to those anti-immigrant demos with thousands of people showing up on Monday night in Chemnitz for a free concert. They were chanting “Nazis out.”
