The conflict in Sudan between rival armed forces continues to wreak havoc across the country. Academics are worried about the irreversible impact on Sudan’s cultural heritage. Fighting has already led to the partial destruction of libraries, museums and other important heritage sites. An effort called the Sudan Heritage Project Initiative aims to protect it from further damage. The World’s Africa Correspondent Halima Gikandi reports.
