Ukraine is a country transformed by the past year. Even the artists cannot continue the way they used to. In the past, Myros Dedyshyn made multimedia sculptures on display in many galleries and public spaces throughout Ukraine. He described his work as “peaceful” and “hopeful.” But since the Russian invasion of Ukraine a year ago, Dedyshyn explains to reporter Ashley Westerman, that his creative energy went in a much more somber direction.
