For more than two decades, Volodymyr Dubovyk has been a professor at the Odessa Mechnikov National University in Ukraine. On Feb. 24, his life, as well as the lives of millions of Ukrainians, were flung into the uncertainty of war. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine led to a large exodus from the country, creating millions of refugees and IDPs. However, just two weeks into the war, professor Dubovyk and his colleagues went back to teaching their courses. Daniel Ofman has his story.
