Lebanese minister forced to resign after comments about Saudi war in Yemen

George Kordahi, Lebanon’s information minister, resigned on Friday, citing diplomatic pressure from the French. A video of Kordahi circulated back in October in which he called the Saudi war in Yemen futile, adding that the Iran-backed Houthi rebel group was acting in self-defense. That sparked a diplomatic row with Saudi Arabia and several other Gulf countries. The World’s Shirin Jaafari updates Marco Werman with the latest.
