Lebanon has fallen on desperate times. The economy has been reeling for months and is in a tailspin; coronavirus cases are spiking; politicians can’t agree on how to form a new government; and the capital, Beirut, is still dealing with the aftermath of its deadly port explosion early last month. All of this instability has led more and more Lebanese to risk their lives to leave the country. Rebecca Collard reports.
