Astronomers have detected an explosion “100 times the size of the solar system,” according to Philip Wiseman, a research fellow at Southampton University, who led the research. The World’s Carolyn Beeler spoke to Wiseman, who said it’s possibly the largest blast ever witnessed and likely caused by gases sucked up into a black hole.
