Kenya’s rising tennis star

Angella Okutoyi, 18, doesn’t come from money. In fact, she spent part of her life in an orphanage in Kenya. Yet, somehow, she has managed to become one of Africa’s fastest-rising tennis stars, a sport typically reserved for the wealthy. Last month, she became the first Kenyan to win a Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, winning the girls’ junior doubles. Now, she wants to encourage more Kenyans to join the sport. The World’s Halima Gikandi has the story.
