Jeff Koons’ moon shot

The World

Contemporary art icon Jeff Koons has packed 125 stainless steel sculptures of the moon inside a lunar lander. It was launched into space Thursday. If and when it lands on the moon’s surface, it will become the first authorized artwork on the moon. Hosts Carol Hills and Carolyn Beeler offer an appreciation of the artist whose sculptures of everyday objects have drawn both criticism and soaring prices.
