Benjamin Netanyahu has been in office for nine months and in that time he has not met President Joe Biden at the White House. That’s customary for strong allies like the US and Israel. But Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu have been at odds over the proposed judicial reforms in Israel which Netanyahu backs. But on Wednesday, the two leaders are expected to meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The World’s Carol Hills spoke with Alon Pinkus, a former Israeli diplomat, about the US -Israel relationship and why the meeting of the two leaders in New York and not DC can be characterized as a snub.
