The Taliban siege of Ghazni last week was quite dramatic. More than 200 civilians were killed, hundreds were wounded. There was also an attack in Kabul a couple of days ago as President Ashraf Ghani announced the beginning of Eid holiday. We now hear from the top US and NATO commander, Gen. John Nicholson that the new US strategy for Afghanistan, announced one year ago by President Trump, is working.
