In Moscow, inside the halls of the Kremlin, Ukraine is at the center of attention. On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin presided over a meeting with his national security council. Putin said that his administration is recognizing the independence of the so-called Dontesk and Luhansk People’s Republics in eastern Ukraine.
