Is global attention on protests having an impact?

The World

The United States is no stranger to police brutality and violence. There are scores of examples in US history — before and during the civil rights movement. There’s the Rodney King verdict in 1992, protests in Ferguson, Missouri, after the Michael brown shooting in 2014, and others. But with the killing of George Floyd, are things different now, and has the world’s attention in some ways changed the equation? The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Darnella Wade, an organizer for Black Lives Matter in St. Paul and founder of the Black Truce Peace Organization.
