Tension in Europe and elsewhere over limited supplies of approved COVID-19 vaccines has put the world on edge. Some studies project that lower-income countries may have to wait years before accessing jabs. Now, Serum Institute of India, a vaccine powerhouse, is massively scaling up and playing a pivotal role in supplying the world with COVID-19 vaccines, especially lower-income countries.
