India reaches COVID vaccine milestone

India on Thursday reached a major milestone – 1 billion people have now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine there. It’s being called the biggest vaccination drive in the world. Dr. Bhramar Mukherjee is a professor of epidemiology and global health at the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan and explains why this is being called a historic day in India.
