Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big announcement on Monday at the global climate change conference in Glasgow, Scotland. India is committing to net-zero carbon emissions by the year 2070, and it’s pledging that half of India’s energy will come from renewable sources in the next decade. Swati D’souza is a lead researcher for climate action at the National Foundation For India in Delhi, and she shares her reaction to Modi’s announcement with The World’s host Marco Werman.
