What’s being called a super cyclone, one of the most dangerous storms to hit the Bay of Bengal area in decades, is expected to make landfall Wednesday. The cyclone is equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane, according to Indian meteorologists. India and Bangladesh are evacuating hundreds of thousands of people from their homes to shelters. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks with Dr. Samarendra Karmakar, a retired director of Bangladesh’s Meteorological Department, about the difficulties managing this severe storm on top of the coronavirus.
