India’s government announced its plan to introduce a digital currency or digital rupee. The government is also introducing a 30% tax on income generated from digital assets as cryptocurrencies’ popularity takes off in India. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Faisal Khan, an independent crypto researcher, about how this will work and the implications of this for India’s economy.
