On Thursday, the country’s Supreme Court rejected a legal policy known as “marco temporal” or “the timeframe” — which would have weakened Indigenous groups’ ability to claim land. The World’s Carol Hills spoke to Ana Alfinito, a lawyer and sociologist based in São Paulo.
