The Danish Justice Ministry recently proposed a bill that advocates worry could shift the country’s prison structure by limiting inmates’ communication with the outside world. If passed into law, inmates serving life sentences would only be able to talk to people they knew before incarceration for the first 10 years of their sentence. They also would be banned from talking to the press about their crimes. Supporters say it’s an effort to protect people who prisoners sometimes take advantage of. The World’s Bianca Hillier reports.
