In recent weeks, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other officials have been trying to make the case that Iran has connections with al-Qaeda and so the US can attack it using the War Authorization Act passed by Congress after 9/11. But experts say Iran’s connections to al-Qaeda don’t rise to the level that would justify using that law. The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
