There are no longer any democratically elected representatives working in Haiti’s federal government. The last 10 senators in Haiti’s parliament left office on Monday night. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Widlore Merancourt, editor-in-chief of Ayibopost, about the lack of trust in Haiti’s government, the ongoing gang violence, and the growing numbers of people going hungry.
