Greece debates role of Orthodox Church in pandemic 

Greece, like many parts of the world, is dealing with unprecedented cases of COVID-19. Intensive care units in the country are nearly at capacity and a strict lockdown is in place until early December. Now, a debate about the role of the Greek Orthodox Church in the pandemic has resurfaced following the COVID-19-related death of a senior clergyman and the hospitalization of the head of the church after he contracted the novel coronavirus. The World’s Lydia Emmanouilidou reports from Athens.
